How to upload files to Google Drive

Google Drive can be referred as Cloud Storage which can be ideal if you are looking to upload/store limited number of files.
Since it is stored in the cloud, only Internet connection is required to access and can be accessed in other devices if you know your Google/Gmail/Sharps email address login details.

  1. Open Google Chrome or other web browser (i.e. Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox).
  2. On the right-hand side of the screen, look for your first name initial and to the left of your initial, should have 9 dotted icons which is the drop down menu to access more Google apps or services.
  3. If you do not see your initial but see Sign In button, then click on Sign In and login using your Sharps email address.
  4. If unsure what the password is, please contact a member of IT.
  5. If you are signed in, click on 9 dotted menu icon and select Drive as shown in screenshot below.
Menu -> Drive
  1. Once clicked on Drive, this should open up My Drive - Google Drive page.
  2. Once the page loads up, in the middle section should display any files/folders that has been uploaded or shared to you.
