Changing Gmail password

If you would like to change your Gmail password, follow the procedure.

      
  1. Open Google page in any browser (most users will be using Google Chrome as default web browser, some could be set up on Internet Explorer and some on Mozilla Firefox).
  2. When you have opened Google home page (or copy and load the following link - www.google.co.uk), on the right hand side, there is menu button (as displayed in screenshot above, 9 dots next to initial of your first name). 
  3. Click on the menu (9 dots) which will bring some options below. If you choose 'account' which normally should be the first option.
     
  1. When the Google account page loads up, on the left hand side, there is list of menu. Click on 'Personal info' menu as shown in the screenshot above.
          
  1. On personal info, there is 'Password' section. Click on password section which should display the screenshot below. If not, the other page it may bring up is to confirm your Gmail with current password. If the current Gmail password is saved, click on 'Next' to continue. If the password is not saved or does not get accepted, contact IT administrator.
  
  1. Enter a new password and confirm new password. Click on 'Change Password' button to confirm the changes.
